The Sunshine Villa is a supportive retirement community setting that allows the senior citizen to attain personal fulfillment and maintain dignity during their retirement years.

The Villa is funded through the Rural Housing Development and is an Equal Housing Opportunity project. Eligibility requirements are for those whose age is 62 years of age and over. Also, the prospective tenant's annual income must meet the RHD income guidelines. An in depth application must be filled out in order to be placed on the priority waiting list. Please contact SMRC for an app.

Rent is based on 30 percent of the tenant's monthly-adjusted income minus medical expenses. There is a $50/month allowance for utility usage. Rental rates are set between a minimum and maximum range as prescribed by Rural Housing Development.

bullet   Maintenance of building, equipment, and appliances. (Major appliances furnished: refrigerator, range, garbage disposal, washer and dryer)
bullet   One unit completely ADA handicapped accessible.
